When it comes to shoes

We wear different shoes for different occasions and quite often it’s one small detail that makes the difference between feeling comfortable or not.

Shoe shopping

  • Feet tend to swell during the day so it’s better to buy new shoes in the afternoon or evening.

  • Shoes should fit and feel comfortable right off. Ill-fitting shoes can really hurt on a long walk.

  • Let your feet breathe during the day. Choose materials that are flexible and breathe, such as leather or nylon mesh.

High heels and health

  • Keep a change of shoes: use comfortable shoes for commuting to work and wear your high heels when you arrive.

  • Be prepared: normally fashionable shoes are more uncomfortable to wear, so take a pair of nylons or a second pair of shoes and use pressure protection products wherever needed.

  • Give your feet a break: a day in high heels leaves your feet tired and your heels burning. Treat them with a gentle massage or a relaxing foot bath.
