Cuts And Grazes
Cuts and grazes
The treatment of cuts and grazes depends on their severity and cause. There is much you can do to speed up the repair process and reduce the risk of infection.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying dressings. Or, if possible, wear surgical gloves to avoid infection.
Clean the wound carefully by washing it under cold running water and gently wipe away any foreign objects such as dirt or grit.
Don’t try to remove anything that has embedded itself under the skin; this should be handled by a medical expert.
Dry the skin around the cut or graze very carefully.
Cover and protect the wounded area with Elastoplast Wound Care Dressing.
