How to stay in shape on little time
Some useful tips on how to make the most out every day situations, when you’re working in the city.
Walk wherever you can. Walking affects the leg muscles on the thighs and calves and also keeps your feet active. It also burns body fat and the more walking you do the more fat you’ll burn off.
Ride your bike instead of taking the car. Biking affects large muscle groups and a half hour on two wheels is as good as a work out in the gym.
Start the day with some simple stretching exercises. Imagine you are lifting a large stone from the floor and rolling it slowly up your body to the ceiling. Do this ten times every morning and you will soon feel the benefit.
When sitting or standing on your way to work, try squeezing your hands together and flexing your arm and upper body muscles, this will tone them up while travelling.
When you take your lunch break, take a stroll around the block. Most people go as far as the next food store. Go to one further away, this way you’ll get some fresh air and some extra exercise.
